four loose threads have a grand day out!

Two loose threads had their grand day out on Tuesday and the other two had theirs on Thursday. In pairs we visited the exhibitions at the Gracefield Arts Centre, Dumfries. The exhibitions were: Picking Up The Thread by the The Dumfries and Galloway Guild of Spinners, Weavers and Dyers and The Dumfries and District Embroiderers' Guild and work from the Solway Quilters. There was some fantastic work on display and Linda and I took lots of photos, some of which are shown here.

We had a very nice lunch in the cafe and while waiting for the bus had a look around the grounds. We found some interesting trees and this sculpture by Andy Goldsworthy.
